I hate inconveniencing people, but I'll have to get over that when I'm eating out. Oh well, I'm sure I'll adjust. I just discovered Elena's Pantry the other day, and I'm loving it! I have a ton of recipes bookmarked, and I can't wait to try them out.

Rob - Unfortunately there are very few independent places where I am that are aware of gluten issues (I'm in a fairly small city). I'm excited to try more restaurants when I'm in Chicago and Toronto over the next few months, though! I'll definitely check into DePuma's - thanks for the info!!Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02211559777528646914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-486499436268115323.post-4386200416766318062009-07-05T10:03:13.704-04:002009-07-05T10:03:13.704-04:00Well, I mean, SOME of them are chains. But there are smaller restaurants, at least here in the northeast, that are starting to cater to the GF crowd.

It's a really cool thing to see, actually.

Not that long ago I went to Bistango Italian Restaurant in Manhattan and they were serving gluten free pasta by a company named DePuma's.

The stuff was amazing, so I checked out their website. It's pretty great stuff...I highly recommend it.

If you're interested: DePuma's Gluten Free Pasta.

But it's definitely nice to see more and more choices are becoming available to those of us who maintain a GF diet.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01885216903096013849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-486499436268115323.post-18349469592800123202009-07-05T08:49:17.278-04:002009-07-05T08:49:17.278-04:00Aww, thanks for mentioning me! :) It is tough to e...Aww, thanks for mentioning me! :) It is tough to eat out...I feel for you. You can find that by getting to know some independent restaurants well, (and not being bashful...ask questions...I hate this part) that you can navigate through what you can eat successfully. It is nice that some of the chains are working on GF menus, but...they are chains. You might check out elanaspantry.com as well, her recipes are delish!Altahttp://tastyeatsathome.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
